以前、ビートルズ（The Beatles）の最高傑作アルバムとして「アビーロード（Abbey Road）」を紹介しました。
本日はビートルズの最高傑作の曲として「レットイットビー（Let It Be）」を紹介します。
「ビートルズの最高傑作の曲」というと人によって異論もあろうかと思いますが、このブログは私の独断と偏見で成立していますので、異論は無視させていただきます。
レットイットビーは、彼らのレコーディング風景をフィルムに収めた１９７０年公開の同名のドキュメンタリー映画のために作られた、ジョンレノンとポールマットニーによる作品です。
このドキュメンタリーは、ビートルズファンなら誰でも知っている「超」有名な６９年１月の「ゲットバックセッション」の録画です。
「ゲットバック」 ・・・・・ 意味は「原点に帰ろう」
当時のビートルズは解散前夜と言った様相。
そのことを憂えたポールが「ゲットバック」と ・・・・・
ポールの呼びかけに他のメンバーも一旦は集まったのですが、やはり流れを変えることはできなかったようです。
ゲットバック同様、映画のサントラ盤である「レットイットビー」に収録されていますが、私はシングル版で発売された曲のほうが好きです。
サントラ盤（アルバム）のプロデュースはフィルスペクターが担当し、シンプルなサウンドにするというポールの意図を無視してしまいました。
そのためか、シングル盤のプロデュースはジョージマーティンが担当し、テイクは同じなのですが雰囲気の異なる曲となりました。
細かいことを言えば、ラストのリフレインの回数やジョージハリスンのギターのミキシング、さらにはアルバム盤には無い歌詞「There will be no sorrow」がシングル版には入ってるそうですが ・・・・・ 私は英語が苦手で ・・・・・
さてさて、かなりインチキくさいものではありますが、私のギターノートを紹介して終わりにしましょう。
